Michael Corcione Obituary, Death – Michael W. Corcione, Albany After a valiant fight with cancer, Michael William Corcione, 90, entered eternal life on March 1, 2009, at his home in the company of his loved ones. He was the son of Mary Corcione Troiano and the late Pasquale Corcione. Mike now lived in Albany, New York, but he was born in West Albany. Since 1949, he has belonged to the Albany Local 190 Brotherhood of Laborers.
Up until his retirement in 1982, Mike worked for Callanan Industries as a construction foreman. After retiring, Mike started a second profession at Albany Medical Center Hospital as a supervisory C.P.A. (car park attendant), where he worked from 1982 to 1997. Mike has a lifelong passion for gardening and enjoyed working with his hands in the soil. He enjoyed caring for and seeing the growth of his flowers and veggies, and sharing the fruits of his labors brought him immense joy.
Over fifty years of devoted professional wrestling fandom were spent by Mike. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and imparting wisdom and experiences to them. He was a giving friend to everyone. Mike’s devoted wife of 58 years, Anne Kimmel Corcione, passed away before him. He was the loving brother of Anthony (Frances) Corcione of Loudonville, Rose Miller of Latham, Frances Skorupski of Albany, Mary Troiano of Colonie, Antoinette Hoffman of Latham, and the late Daniel and Dominick Corcione. He was also the devoted father of Patrick (Sarah) Corcione of Voorheesville and Richard H. Corcione of Slingerlands. Andrew, Emily, and Gregory Corcione also called him their grandfather.
